Island Moving offers discounts on season tickets

MARCH 21, 2007 — Island Moving Co., Newport’s resident contemporary ballet company, celebrates its 25th anniversary season with its first ever season ticket offer. Tickets to the Company’s New York performances (May 10-12), the spring performances at Newport’s Great Friends Meeting House (May 17-19) and summer’s Flight of Steps at Fort Adams (July 13-22) can be purchased with a 25% discount. Season ticket purchasers will also be thanked with a free pass to the Newport International Film Festival in June.

Tickets are $15-20 and patrons can use the 25% discount on an unlimited number of subscriptions. Seating at the performances in New York at the Merce Cunningham Studios May 10-12 and in Newport at the Great Friends Meeting House May 17-19 is limited. Subscribers will have priority at these shows, which are likely to sell out.

The May performances in Newport and New York will feature a new ballet by Colin Connor, a duet by New York choreographer Tami Stronach, Carol Somers’ moving from here to there and Miki Ohlsen’s summer hit, There’s a Party in My Mind.
