SUMMER DANCE 2010

CREATIVE MOVEMENT — 3-5 YRS. OLD

• JULY 19-23 9:30 – 11:30 am

COME CREATE A PERFORMANCE PIECE!
Over the course of the five days the children will create a dance performance piece based on the creative movement themes we explore. Simple costume and set pieces will be created for our performance during the crafts portion of the class.

COST: $140 minimum 8 students

BALLET Ia,b & II — 7 – 8 YRS. OLD

• AUGUST 16-20 9:30 am– 12:30 pm

Experience Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Folk and choreography. We will also learn about stage make up and hair for ballet class and performance. This workshop culminates in a mini performance on the last day.

COST: $160 minimum 8 students
$50.00 nonrefundable deposit due by May 15, 2010

BALLET III a,b,c – IV; 9 – 12 YRS OLD

• JULY 26 – JULY 30 9:00 am – 2:30 pm

This a chance for the dancer with a few years of experience to explore different dance forms. Ballet, Modern, Folk, and Jazz will be explored, adding both variations and choreography with rehearsal in the afternoon hours. The workshop will culminate in a mini performance on the last day.

COST: 260 minimum 8 students
$50.00 nonrefundable deposit due May 15, 2010

BALLET IV- V; 13 YRS. & UP (audition required)

• AUGUST 3 – 14, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

This two - week workshop is for the more serious dancer. It will give the student the opportunity to devote more time to dance without the hurry of the school year. There will be technique and pointe classes, jazz, modern, and folk. We also begin some simple partnering. The afternoon hours from 2:30 - 4:00 will be spent rehearsing choreography and learning variations.

COST: $650 minimum 8 students
$50.00 nonrefundable deposit due by May 15, 2010
