Opening Weekend at Rosecliff ~ March 2013

Island Moving Co. turns 31!  A season long celebration kicks off at Rosecliff in Newport, with performances March 2 & 3, 2013.  Saturday evening's of Opening Connections ~ An Evening to Celebrate The Future ~ will feature works from the Company's diverse repertoire, including work by guest choreographer Mark Harootian and excerpts from our repertoire including Artistic Director Miki Ohslen's Struggle for Comfort.  Join us for a glass of champagne on Saturday March 2nd at 7:00p.m. to toast!

On Saturday March 2 and Sunday March 3, the IMC will perform our children's ballet based on Mother Goose rhymes at 3:00p.m. The delightful Mother Goose at Rosecliff will be appropriate for children three and up and incorporate live music and the spectacular setting of Rosecliff mansion. The dancers take on the roles of such favorites as Little Bo Peep and the Old Woman in the Shoe, while Newport performer Lisa Reimer portrays a lively Mother Goose.  Audience members are invited to join the dancers for  photo opportunities after the performance.
